What This Platform Does

Liber Visio is a psychological assessment and AI companion platform. It administers validated psychometric instruments — including the HEXACO Personality Inventory–Revised (HEXACO-PI-R) and supplementary neurodiversity screeners — and uses the resulting profile to inform conversations with a Psychological Assistant AI.

This platform is not a clinical service. It does not provide diagnoses, treatment, or professional psychological advice. Assessment results are provided for personal reflection and self-understanding only. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis line in your region.

The data you share here is among the most intimate information a person can offer. We treat it accordingly — not as a product, not as a signal, but as a trust.

02

What We Collect and Why

We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform and, where you have consented, to conduct psychological research.

Assessment responses. Your answers to HEXACO-PI-R items, attention pattern questions (ASRS v1.1), autistic trait questions (AQ-10), and mind-wandering items (MWQ) are stored to generate your results and to personalize your AI companion session. These are retained on Canadian servers for as long as your account exists.

Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google’s OAuth service. We use these only for authentication and to personalize your experience. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.

Session data. We log conversation metadata — message counts, session timestamps — for platform reliability and to enforce fair-use limits. We do not log the full content of your AI companion conversations for any purpose beyond immediate session delivery.

What we do not collect. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics services. We do not sell, license, or share your data with any commercial entity.

03

Research Participation

Liber Visio is being developed in parallel with academic research into personality, neurodiversity, and AI-assisted psychological support. Participation in this research is entirely voluntary and entirely separate from your use of the platform.

During the assessment, you will be given the opportunity to indicate whether you consent to your anonymized responses being used for research purposes. This is a distinct, optional step — it is not bundled with account creation or platform access.

If you consent to research participation: Your assessment scores — stripped of all identifying information — may be included in a research dataset. Your name, email, and any other identifying details are never included. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.

If you do not consent: Your assessment data is used only to generate your personal results and inform your AI companion session. It is never entered into any research dataset. Your experience of the platform is identical either way.

Research conducted through this platform is intended to be submitted for ethics review through an accredited Canadian institution prior to any formal publication.

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on Amazon Web Services infrastructure located in the Canada West region (Calgary, Alberta). This means your data is subject to Canadian federal and provincial privacy law — specifically the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Data in transit is protected by TLS encryption. Data at rest is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with access controls restricted to platform infrastructure. No human staff member routinely accesses individual user records.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

05

Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request corrections, and to request that your data be deleted. You also have the right to withdraw research consent at any time without affecting your access to the platform.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

06

Changes to This Policy

This policy will be updated as the platform develops, particularly as formal research ethics review processes are initiated. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

Continued use of the platform following a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you disagree with any update, you may request deletion of your account.
